Two Iran shorts to enjoy Spanish screening coverage

Iranian short flicks ‘Are You Volleyball?’ and 'Blindness' are set to appear at the 15th edition of Alicante Film Festival in Spain.

Directed by Navid Nikkhah-Azad, 'Blindness' is about an unsighted mother who is seeking her young son with disability in a park where she’ll decide about his future.

‘Are You Volleyball?’ by Mohammad Bakhshi tells the story of a group of Arab speaking asylum seekers during war in search of a better place in the world to live in. They arrive at border and the story unfolds from here.

A total of 40 short films (28 Spanish productions and 12 international productions) will battle it out for awards at this edition.

Best international short will be selected among 12 works coming from China, Iran, Russia, United Kingdom, Mexico, Dominican Republic, the United States, Switzerland, Brazil, Indonesia and Belgium.

The 15th edition of the festival is to run from May 25 to June 2, 2018.
